Art History Search -- Summer xxxx The Wells College Visual Arts Program invites applications for a full-time one-year position in Art History beginning in August xxxx. The successful candidate will teach a 3-3 course load of undergraduate survey courses in Art History as well as topics courses in accordance with candidate s specialization and program needs. Additionally, the successful candidate will supervise 2-3 senior projects in Art History. Particular competence in modern and contemporary art is strongly preferred. The search committee welcomes applications from those also able to teach in one or more of the following areas: Museum Studies, Film and Media Studies, Non-Western Art History or Literature, Gender Studies, or Book Arts. Ph. D. and previous teaching experience preferred, although ABD candidates with strong qualifications will be considered. Applicants should provide cover letter, statement of teaching philosophy, and three letters of reference. Search committee will begin reviewing applications immediately, and will continue until position is filled.
